Today, Ontario health officials confirmed its second “presumptive” case of 2019-nCoV in Toronto, Canada. It was confirmed that the wife of the province’s first case had tested positive for the virus at Ontario’s public health laboratory.

During Wednesday’s daily briefing with ministry and EOC officials, the confirmed number of positive cases in Ontario remains at two. On Tuesday, Jan. 28, the first case in B.C. was reported, involving a man who had recently travelled back home to that province from the city of Wuhan.

During the daily briefing with ministry and EOC officials, we learned that Ontario continues to have the same two positive cases. One person, a man in his early 50s remains in hospital at Toronto’s Sunnybrook Hospital in stable condition . His wife is in self-isolation at home.

It has been almost a week since Ontario reported its first case of the coronavirus. Today, we learned of a third positive case in our province in the city of London, involving a woman in her twenties with mild symptoms and who is recovering at home in self-isolation.
